Crusaders of the Realms (CoR)

I have hesitated to post this for quite some time simply because I had hoped that CoR would reform, it doesn't look like that will be happening.

So, for those who were ever in CoR lets hear about it.

Just because you are hoping to re-form is no reason not to post. Several guilds have made comebacks after posting here. Good place to re-group and re-form.

Active guilds are certainly free to post here, but they have less need.

I miss CoR. If I were ever to join a non-barnie guild, it'd be CoR (Assuming Aidan were still there. He kicks ass.)

Aidan does indeed kick much ass, but since coming back from Iraq he has been on a spend all his time with his family kick, which is to be expected. Hell I can't even get him to look at the boards when he comes over to the house!

Oh well, perhaps in thenear future he will play again since he is looking to do somethign else besides teach.

That reminds me that I should put a VH thread up too.

Whatever happened to old Drago? Last time I checked the ole mormon was still on his mission (which must be going on for some 5 years now!)...

Ah, COR.

COR was one of the main reasons that Cabal was ever formed. One of my favorite opponents ever. It would be very nice to see them return to the game.

Me too, hell I miss all the people that used to play in CoR, but it seems we all grew up, finished college, got married, had kids and had to actually start working for a living!

Now that just sucks ass.

I am not entirely sure, but I think I might've spent a half age in COR at one time somewhere.

I was 3LS, DOW, ISA, DOW, now Sanctuary, but I get the idea in some odd age or something somewhere I was somewhat affiliated with them.

Probably not, looking back, but regardless they were usually my bros, so they rock and regardless of this rambling maybe I wasn't ever a part of them in any way shape or form. Oh well

We were usually closely allied with them quite a bit, Isi, so that may be a reason. CoR lasted for a long time until I believe Nyteshadow finally disbanded it a couple years ago. I was sad to see them go after everything our guilds have been through. I still remember Jacob getting flamed mercilessly by Demmy and the rest of the Barnies back in the day

Hi guys~
Even I miss GammitDammit, and what seems like a few thousand others. Okay, please say you remember Spectre. I think he was GMing COR when I finally left TAO, BIA, HoS, and Fervent, among others, and arrived here...but I miss Iggy too..
When I was in NEX, in the very earliest days, I spent half of my time negotiating truces between NEX and CoR.
I will always fondly remember Blu's. I still have pages and pages of notes, mostly with me dusting the old place.

I'll come back again, but can't right this minute...a late breakfast calls.

Love,

Jude

Hmm, Adenn, if you learned under Aidan, then you joined the game long after I did, so GammitDammit and Jacob would not be part of your living, breathing conciousness, and you wouldn't know Spectre either...
But you should know JoT and Snake Eater, at least vaguely. Me, possibly. NyteShadow probably.
That was part of my life, many years ago, but I remember them all fondly.

And I'm glad that COR was your first guild. Aidan was(is) an excellent teacher...he just can't spell.

Sincerely,

Ceherezad(Jude)

Hey.. you would figure to become a teacher... they would require spelling right... hehe

:D NyteShadow~

You are the 1 person(besides Aidan) that actually knows and uses my email address, so it's not suprising that I answer your comment.

I was never absolutely positive that Arkansas actually licenses their teachers, but it seems that either spelling is not a prerequisite, or Aidan  squeaked through on charm alone.

But correct spelling is not required to GM a guild; just hope that a few of your underlings can pick up the slack, and correct your major faux pas.

On a related subject: I do miss Father Blu's. I think we managed to raise two sets of twins there, with very little help from their fathers, but there was always Mary and Tink! to take up the slack baby(kid)-sitting.

I hope that JoT's comfy chair is still there, with his box of smoogles, along with the jell-o pool, though the only personal things I left there were my dust cloth, and the portrait of the TGs(Teflon Geezers: Jot, Snake Eater, Shadira, and myself).

Maybe someday, when I'm older and grayer, we can revisit Blu's.

But, until then, I'm affectionately yours,

Ceherezad

::Pokes head in.::

Hello all. I have been back from the mission for some time now... going on what... three years? I have been spending the vast majority of my time back at http://www.forgottenworld.com with the CORites there. :D Been busy. Am married now down in TX living. Been a long time. I came back about three years ago, but at that point everyone had been gone for a while. I am still floating around. I have been considering picking up the game again. But just have not gotten around to it. We'll see. Come by FW and visit sometime, or give me a shout at my e-mail addy.

)Ahh, Cehere sis, FW is not where I live, it is short for Forgotten World. I am actually down in Houston. And long time no see Nyte! I have not been up to too much here recently. Switching jobs and getting settle into married life. (All of five months later this week.) I tried playing EQ once I think, but just didn't stick with it. I just can't justify playing pay for play games when I can play things like cannon and FW for free. (Besides, I no longer take care of my own bookkeeping so I REALLY have to justify expenses, and currently don't have enough cash flow to justify any. :?) I miss the good RPs we had over here. Many more people involved makes it so much more fun.
