Favorite motto or philosophy

[owly]

What is your motto or philosophy in life. If you don't have one, steal one from the internet or a movie...

Party Hard Die Happy lol

[Sturm]

Archimedes used to demand just one firm and immovable point in order to shift the entire earth;

So I too can hope for great things if I manage to find just one thing, however slight, that is certain and unshakable.

[TEVA]

life is to short to be fighting

[Grunt]

Why worry
its going to happen anyway

[Reylan Talonspyre]

Here I stand. I can do no other. God help me. Amen.
-Martin Luther

Has been a testament to my life for the past two years. Hold the line on my principles and my integrity.

This far, no further.

It has been a trail of tears, but even though I am not a dogmatic religious person, Martin Luther's speech during the Emperor's Edict of Worms is great inspiration for anyone fighting insurmountable odds. The whole quote goes:

"Unless I am convinced by proofs from Scriptures or by plain and clear reasons and arguments, I can and will not retract, for it is neither safe nor wise to do anything against conscience. Here I stand. I can do no other. God help me. Amen."

And it is my belief, that God has helped me. Not to get too religious but I think God and I have a real good system worked out.

Dont sweat the small stuff

Take em all

Kind of enjoy the meaning behind that one.
Sort of a take no prisoners attitude. Go out and get shit done.

[Kaxion]

My favourite motto is in my sig lol

Sometimes " THE MAJORITY " only means all the fools are on the same side.

Alot of history would be very different if people had just had the strength of will to stand against things they knew to be wrong even when outnumbered.

As far as philosophy's go my favourite philosophical writing is Sun Tzu's Art of War I study it fanatically and use many of its teachings and principles in my life every day

[~Oriana~]

Do one thing every day that scares you
- Eleanor Roosevelt

Then theres what I think I have lived by since the day I was born.

Be who you were always meant to be
Not who they expect you to be.

[Isildur]

I'll leave you alone, do me the same courtesy.

[Eos]

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

"It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return, but what is the most painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let the person know how you feel.”

[~Vox~]

"Shit Happens"

[bigSparky]

I have three fairly basic ones-

If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it. This applies pretty much to everything you can think of, things, relationships, people...The wisdom lays in knowing whether or not something is actually broken.

KISS - Keep It Simple, Stupid. No sense in over-complicating things. I have to fight this at work constantly with my crew. They are like a bunch of monkeys trying to fuck a football at times. Why put six bends in a piece of pipe when you can do it with one or two. When they are pulling wire, they just can't seem to grasp the concept of pulling the wires THROUGH a box that those wires are not joining to others in that box. The less splices you have to make, the quicker it is, and it all fits in the box better.

#3 is actually hand in hand with #2 - It's ALWAYS something simple.

From Faust.. and later adopted as a personal motto of Aleister Crowley

"Fuck it"

[zenpig]

Am I evil? yes I am

"ROCKIN' IT, FERVENT STYLE"

Followed by a picture of the legendary "Nutsy"

...had a momentary relapse.....it's gone now.

[Venus]

oh god, not nutsy
never again!

[Atla]

Favorite Quote:

"Never let the bastards grind you down"

Been planning on getting that tattoo'd around my left wrist for some time, just gotta decide with which latin version to go with.

Favorite Philosophy:

"I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do."
-Robert Heinlein.

[owly]

1 Don't worry about the small stuff
2 it's all small stuff

[Reylan Talonspyre]

"More meat for the grinder."

"Come on you bastards, did you want to live forever?!"
-Over the top charge during WWI
