This game is based on gaining land to win, and for some reason my granddaughter's kingdom seems to have trouble. I know I am not a warrior, but I do understand the basic principle and can use it, or though, I thought.
Raycorz and her have been at war since June 6. A full month. Raycorz declared on her. The war went rather typical, he took her land, then she sorced him, then he burnt her and sorced her with his elemental and she builds them back.
Raycorz is elemental
Melody is sidhe
Well, Raycorz has not been around for a few days, he didn't go on vacation so she has been attacking and tried taking his land.
She succeeded at first. But eventually seemed to lose more troops than he did. She could not continue to take land without reforting and well with kingdoms under 100K NW gold is a commodity we don't have much of. She dropped some land, built a few forts and temples , and forted defense and scum.
The next day she tried again. Her sidhe had 1200 T-3's (defensive troops). She got in with ease on control strike for 1 acre, after 3-4 CS1, she tried a full. She got in but just barely, she lost 10 times the troops he did and after the 3rd hit, he resisted and her army was pretty much depleted.
Tried again, her 1200 sidhe T-3's, his elemental had very little, only 77 elite T-4's (offensive) and 31 T-2's(offensive).
She failed. We just gave up attacking, tithed and built.
Another issue with her kingdom is the sorc troops. She has 42 sorc nymphs. They have been there through all the attacking, the sorc screen shows an asterisk on the awaken spirits spell and the training screen states there are 42 Fire Nymphs. It has been my experience when you attack or are attacked, , your sorc troops are gone, not these, they are eternal sorc troops.
If anyone can help us here it would be greatly appreciated. She is starting to get a bit frustrated, so am I.
Is there a defensive advantage given to the underdog? The more land the attacker has, the stronger the defenders troops become? When we had less land than him, it seemed easier to get though. Now we have the advantage and it is proving almost impossible.
