[Solo] Warthread III: Downhitters Never Prosper!

[Gerien]

btw- I'm not hiding in a war with Pesh, I just like leaving the declaration standing so that whenever he comes anywhere close to me I can smack his ass back down again. If I undeclared I couldn't do that.

Don't want people getting the wrong impression.

[_Nagash_]

Divine One: 540K nw
Seska: 460K nw

I lotted him to crap and beyond. Nowz he needs to moves

Dont'you just love being a vampire?

[~Crimson~]

Dont'you just love being a vampire?

You mean don't you love being overpowered, right?

[Thorin987]

Overpowered? If anything I would say Dwarven are more overpowered than vampire... Vampires excel at sorcery, dwarvens excel at war offense AND defense...

There is a reason 90% of the people picked dwarven to start and the top 8 consists of 2 Goblins and 6 dwarves with the top 5 consisting of all Dwarves.

[_Nagash_]

THorin's right. The fun thing is that most Dwarves have a major sorc deficiency though, which kinda makes it even greater to be Vampish

[Quedesh Verez]

There comes a time where having the ability to TAKE land with ease can set you up to where even a vamp can't handle you. If you can time everything right it's easier to be a dwarf. ALSO with a vamp you have to have a lot of centrocs and increasingly so at higher levels which means your scum count goes down meaning other races can burn you and then lot lot lot And without your forts yer SCREWED! I just happen to be the one who thinks Vamps can war just fine and I'll avoid sorcery unless necessary besides you lot them and they drop land. Unless like Seska you are just a psychotic killing machine in which case well hehe.

[Seska Dragonslayer]

Now now. I only kills them if they don't downsize their land or dissent their troops.

Y'see, I don't PL people TOO far down, so they can't DS all their land If they DO DS they will be easy prey for my Wampyr.

[Quedesh Verez]

I use the same strategy I always do in solo. I'll burn people until they can't affort to fort QUITE right then I strike with a load of wampyr. :-p

[Kaz]

Pax attacked yesturday, downhit in networth, but I have more land.

21st Mar 2008 - 13:04EST - Xxxx (5xxx) - 858449 -- Xxxx (1xxx) - 704853
21st Mar 2008 - 13:05EST : START OF WAR DETECTED
21st Mar 2008 - 21:49EST - Xxxx (5xxx) - 852484 -- Xxxx (1xxx) - 710521

Pax burnt down my temples in the first wave. I decided to give him a go with troops, even with 100mil in cash his dwarven defenses were too much for my Vampire. Have logged in to find even less temples.

Should be interesting, I've reforted back to how i was. we'll see what happens next

[Kaz]

Well we both now have significantly less Guildhalls lol

[Seska Dragonslayer]

Congratulations. A death has just been recorded.

Killer: Seska (100XX)
Killed: Divine One (500XX)

You should see this message ONCE after KILLING a realm.

Immediately declared on another Letite dwarven with 150K nw superior to me. Took 5K or so land....will prolly have to PL and kill him later, too lol

Whoever he is: 591,128
Me: 467,926

This ought to be fun!

BTW, I now have a campaign name for Mission: Kill The Dwarves.

Its Mission: Kill the Dwarves. So, I'll be spreading propiganda about the virtues of forting some scum and the like for those that fort pure defense.

To people caught forted full offense and not declared on anyone - I triple checked to make sure, and you only had 22 turns so I doubt you'll be hitting much anyone now....tsk, tsk, tsk (Be thankful I was down to 80 turns when I saw ya....I woulda taken WAY more land....lol)

[Grunt]

Dwarven Lungs seem tasty

[Seska Dragonslayer]

Hehe, turns out it was Joegolf that I hit....

....oh, and dwarven lungs are indeed tasty, if properly fried with sorcery on medium heat. I prefer to use olive oil myself, but this angelique sorcery is a bit tricky to control the temp on....so sometimes (read:always) they get charred :/

[MicM]

Me top barnie

50K worth difference when I spent the $$$$ I had built up and bought troops

good luck leto kingdom on your re-tal

MicM

[Quedesh Verez]

Well, Dux splapped me, however I happend to be online and with a little creative management and about 300 mil in the bank I was able to weather the storm. He hit up in NW and Acreage so hats off to him. There's still a lotta fight left out there.

[Karhedron]

MicM

Such a pretty way of hiding a 340k downhit in NW...

[Eisheth]

Well Jenks has made it known he was going to spend the rest of the age at war with me. I'm cool with that, just so people know it was his choice and we're still at war.

Jenks= Him
Bebe= Me

[MicM]

Karhedron:

The problem with system is people look at war declares and see the net worth what they wont do is go into the scroll history to see the true story. After my last war I fully forted defence and scum Net worth 1,409,550, Even after my first build cycle when I had the $$$ I was 1,500,000. Sence then i have never hit for land nor tithed for more, I never built forts so the only way for my net to spike is with $$$$, I took a risk and sorsed income for 2 build cycles hence the extreme spike in net worth. Hell Look on the 16th I lost 100K+ net from a loot alone. I tried to scout my target and got hung, she was Scum heavy . instead of having 30K+ scum she could have bought more troops but chose the scum instead. After DS all scum and defence troops and buying offence I was 50K above her when I hit, Hell after my first few CS she was higher from my troop lost, The only thing that saved me is the $$$ I could keep buying back lost troops, Why not ask her if ANY of my hit were even a sucsess??? Not one was and that is when I had 100% offence and 2.3 mil fluffed that cost me 10 mil to 15 mil to hit each time with my sors troops.

I was rank 3 she was rank 4 bottom line was we were the same minus the money and I would have never been able to break her if she was not scum heavy. I am not going to take any slack for me taking a risk and sitting on 400-500 mil.

[Kaz]

War between Islia the Vampress and Pax the Goblin are still ongoing, lots of scum action so far. No real opening for a feasable war strike been allowed by either side.

Started with Pax buring my temples
I attempted a warbased retal with large sums, failed.
Pax burnt my income buildings
I burnt his temples
Pax rebuilt temples and tried to sorc me no real damage
I reburnt his temples and guildhalls.

[Karhedron]

It has to be based upon something. At the minute, nw is what's it's based on. *shrugs*

And i can't be sure not having been around all weekend... but by my last scouts you had around 60k land... so the 16k firebeards you coulda hired at 100% offence woulda almost definitely put you at higher than 1.4mil nw.

[supergus2]

I burnt Exile today, SEEN. Don't know what he'll do about that...
I also maxxed out scum and tried scouting some vampies... and couldn't even get in

I wonder if any wars are coming at me?

[Gerien]

I wonder if any wars are coming at me?

Umm, yes.

[_Nagash_]

Still no response for Helena. I'm going for unilateral peace tomorrow.

[Gerien]

I undeclared on Pesh because I was bored waiting for him to actually build anything within reasonable distance of hitting me again. If he does I'll just spank him a few more times.

Looking for a war right now, but the target I considered this morning had WAY too many kobolds and tunnels. I hope I find something soon before it finds me!

[Kaz]

Karhedron and Judiama please contact me asap.

There is a huge difference between openly attacking a downhitter and quietly helping another player win a war.

[edit] Unsure where I pulled Crimson's name from.
