Arthur's forces waited on the battlefield, ready for his command to attack the heathen forces; no word yet from a GM of his guild. Allies from Darden urgently request we strike immediately, as has been planned for some time. He has promised his allies in Darden that OAFS WILL BE READY! Still nothing. Arthur calls on Tekmet, another AGM of OAFS to help finish preperations for war. A GM isn't even necessary at this point! Tekmet and he have done all the hard work; all is needed is men to show to the war chat. 4 people total show, including Arthur and Tekmet. How pitful. A look of disgrace crosses Arthur's face as the Dardens begin turning on him. "Typical OAFS" they say. Arthur tries to appologize, but he knows as well as they do that words mean nothing; only action has any meaning on a battlefield.
"This is IT!" Arthur hears from behind him. Tekmet, standing there, looks disgusted at the pitiful turnout. "I say we leave! Too many battles have I watched OAFS stumble around in, doing little to prepare and then being overwhelmed by superior foes."
"You're right," Arthur responds. " No longer will I stand for such an indignity. A force of over 30 men, and only 4 show?! What kind of guild are we in?! We did everything for them! I put my honor on the line....nothing! Let us call apon our friends in Tiavain. Maybe there we will find a group of people willing to fight when they say they are going to fight!"
Arthur calls for a scribe. "Dictate a letter to TEVA for me, for although I will miss them all in OAFS, she will be missed the most."
Quote:
Teva, luv. The feeling I had when you would polish my rod was like no other. You are special, but alas, I must leave. I cannot support a guild that does not support me. I am following behind my scribe to meet with you one last time before I depart.
The scribe arrives the next day, and come night, Arthur shows up at her castle gates. She invites him in for a wonderful, hot meal, the aroma of pig meat and fresh stewed vegitables fills the dining hall. For hours they converse and laugh, remembering the times they spent together at the OAFS Inn, but alas, Arthur must leave. Teva escorts Arthur to the gate.
They stand outside, the moon bright, casting shadows across her face, a painting of unparelled beauty. A tear streaks down her cheek, Arthur catches it and drys her cheek. He strokes his fingers through her damp hair, dew begins to settle down, and caresses her cheek with the back of his hand. He lightly caresses her forehead down to the back of her neck, and slowly, he kisses her, their lips lighly touch, soft the kiss begins as his arms surround her body, tighly holding her, the kiss becomes more passionate. Their tongues caress, her cheeks flush, their breathing heavy. His hands glide up and down her back, they kiss in that moment for an eternity, a star streaks across the sky above them. His lips glide from her's, he kisses her forehead, and hugs her tightly. Stepping back, he takes one last look at this beauty, and parts for his carrage to take him to his new home in Tiavain.
