Troop Information

Each race has five different troop types, as well as fortresses. Type five troops are your citites/changelings/drow - commonly known as 'scum' units, which are used to conduct actions via the Steal menu.

Human - Goblin - Elves

Don't let the often chaotic nature of a goblin army lull you into a false sense of security - when on the offensive, there's little to match the sheer power of the goblin hordes.

The smallest of the goblin troops are the Kobolds - diminutive and weak-willed minions of the larger greenskins, these creatures are often used to defend strategic locations through sheer strength of numbers. While a lone kobold is nothing to be feared, when these creatures gather they can be hard to budge. Kobolds do not pack much of a punch offensively, as their weak will may make them balk before charging a shield wall.

Orcs are the most common form of greenskin in the goblin armies, and are fairly capable warriors in their own right. Their lack of attention span and love of battle makes them poorly equipped for defensive duties, but when charging they present a fearsome sight and are capable of breaking even the most determined of battle lines.

Larger yet are Trolls, the near-legendary regenerating beasts which seem to gather whenever the greenskins talk of war. Their discipline is perhaps even worse than the orcs, and it has been observed that trying to force them into any semblance of military formation is like trying to herd cats. Seven foot tall regenerating cats, with breath that wilts plantlife at distance and weapons taller than your average orc. Despite their strength and resilience, trolls are far more useful when beating up a defensive line than when trying to form a defence of their own.

Even the trolls look tiny compared to Giants, whose name says everything - they're huge. There's nothing a giant loves more than to stomp on the smaller races. Luckily for their sense of entertainment, there are plenty of smaller races and very few indeed which come close to their size and brute offensive power.
