Grand Product Make-Over Event (winners posted!)

Postby Voice Vilena » Tue May 04, 2004 3:32 am

Your mission should you chose to accept it ~ Search the internet for a product..make it over..rename it and pitch your advertisement.

What I want is this - a product (clothing, toys, tech-stuff, household item, nearly anything)..give it a new name and a new, completely different way to use it. Then use a pic of it off the net, write up a short advertisement pitch for the product you've just given a make-over and post it up.

Rules:
  • Please refrain from making-over sexually-related "toys" and/or "appliances" - you know what I mean ;p
  • Also refrain from making-over illegal products, ie; drug-related items (sorry but no pictures of bongs and pipes and things either)
  • No pouting.
  • Don't use a product someone else has already posted a make-over for
  • Advertisement must include the following:
    • Picture or link to a picture of the product
    • It's new name
    • It's new use
    • The Price (any currency is fine)
  • Have fun!

Prizes:

First place - 50 turns
Second place - 30 turns
Third place - 20 turns

Remember, if you don't play Canon you can still play events and gift your winnings to a friend that plays.

I did it. And if he's lucky I'll make it 3 times ;p

DyeZone Corp is proud to present:
The Rodent Tester 6000

Is you Hamster, too round?
Does you Bat not fly right?
Does your gerbil have dreams of space flight?

The rodent tester 6000, excedes its predecessors in the preparation of rodents for jobs involving large forces on their bodies.
This machine, based on NASA training simulators, will test any creature up to the size of a chihuahua for the rigours of space flight. This uses centrifugal and centripetal forces to replicate the strains on the body under excessive forces.

Any creature to pass this test would be suited not only for a job in space, but also for flying fighter jets and as black operations operatives prepared to be thrown several kilometers by a siege weapon.

At a recommended retail price of 13 humourous vegtables (rated 15 carrots* or more) it would be a bargain, but our introductory price of just 8 vegtables makes this an opportunity not to be missed.

The Rodent Tester 6000 - Don't put your hamsters lives in danger with a lesser model.

* The carrot rating is the number of people in a test group on 24 that laugh out loud at the vegtable.
Kids, Bringing about the Armgeddon can be dangerous.
Do not attempt it in your own home.

McDonalds Low Fat Burger "Bake at Home" Range

That's right, you can now manufacture the wonderful products brought to you our good friends at McDonalds in the comfort of your own home!

With this package, you can simply, so simply even a child can do it, create any creation present in a McDonalds. And they actually look, feel, and taste like the real thing!

And for all you health conscience people out there, yes, you heard right, these burgers all contain LESS THAN 1% FAT! When will food technology cease to amaze us.

These products are a downright steal, available for purchase at any McDonalds store for the introductory RRP of $19.95 AUD.

So what are you waiting for? Peel that flabby buttock skin of that chair, head on down to your nearest McDonalds and pick up a kit. So amazing you'll even start to shed weight. Yes, SHED!, like a cat dumping its winter coat.

McDonalds Low Fat Burger Range and "Bake at Home" are registered to their respective companies. McDonalds has not paid for or endorsed this product in any way, shape or form, unless you count a decahedron as a shape.

Product not meant for children under the age of 3, as their immune system is not yet developed to a stage to handle such a large intact of flour. Also, small parts may be a choking hazard for stupid parents and people who just want to 'dig into' their burger and forget to remove the plastic mold.
A rolling stone is worth two in the bush.

Alright thanks for playing along guys :P

Just to go by which ones really made me laugh the most and those three were...

Regicider, Taff and Njus.

Oh right the places would be good to include right? ;>

1st place for Taff

2nd to Regicider

and 3rd place to Njus (even though I use XP, I often think it's better off as a paper-weight ~L~)

Send me a PM as usual with your kingdom number and game for the turns.

Thanks again for the laughs.
