Daughter sending out graduation announcements

ok, for those of you who got an invitation/announcement for a graduation that you don't recognize the name of the girl, or recognize her pic, that is my daughter. LOL

There are several peeps that she sent these to from the games. I am not sure of all of them, or if these are even the current game user names, but here is a list of the ones I can thin of that she sent one to:

Nato did you forget to secure your invitation by sending a message in the previous thread that Nimue had saying about if people wanted an invitation to the graduation ah well you missed out on that party it seems. Plus Nimue is not exactly sure who you are, if there is something else she would know you by let her know. Was talking to her on the phone and she could not post on here till she gets to a computer. Her daughter has an asshole but I am sure she would not show it to you.

I asked Dustball to post a comment for me because it did not seem like much of a joke when I read it. Nor did it to either Dustball or, obviously, Tork.

Maybe Nato should try to use better judgement when talking about someone else's child? It might be a wise idea.

As Dustball stated, much better than I could that's for sure, Nato failed to respond to the thread I started in here back in August letting poeple know of the impending graduation and requesting that those who wanted invites/announcements should post their info or else PM it to me. As she failed to do si, she was not on the list. If she is POLITE about it, she might be able to be added to the list yet. But that will be at the discretion of my graduating daughter (who did not like being called an asshole, BTW).

Really? Because when I was on the phone with Dustball she said she thought Nato was just being sarcastic and didn't really mean anything by it which prompted me come see what the hell she was talking about to begin with , (shows how much I pay attention right) and being the sarcastic bitch I can be didn't understand what the big deal was with what Nato said and told Dusty as much. On a side note teenagers are assholes don't care whose kid they are they are all evil.

Calling someone's child you don't know an asshole is not a joke. I don't even know how it can be taken as such. There are much better ways to try and attempt sarcasm/humor. So as the mother and daughter herself don't find it a bit funny, its obvious the joke fell flat and went straight to being assinine. There's a fine line between a bit of sarcasm and being a complete ass and if you don't know where that lies, don't say anything. I like Nimue a lot and don't think her nor her daughter deserved to have her called an asshole by someone neither of them know. Gerien, go up to some stranger's face tomorrow and call them an asshole and see if they find it funny. See if they get your joke.

I took it as a joke too. In fact, I almost posted the EXACT same thing, but then saw Nato had already posted it. Great minds and all. Maybe when reading and posting on these boards if you are that sensitive about your child you use better judgment and shouldn't mention them here. Just a thought, and ya'll can take that any way you want. I didn't mean it assholish, or just to be a bitch, I am 100% dead serious.

And seriously, if you don't know who NATO is, maybe you are looking in the wrong place for people to invite to your childs grad. Nato and I are not friends, though I am immensely fond of her, but frankly, if she is a total stranger to you, then you need to visit here more often before passing out judgment. Once people know who you are, and I have been here a FUCK of a long time and it took me a few to remember you, and all I can recall is something about a grandchild, then hell, be bitchy with the rest of us.

Ok we need to settle down a bit here. I will tell you something I was being sarcastic in my post was trying to lighten the situation. But come on the bickering needs to stop this is not the thread for it. It really needs to be brought elsewhere. It was a misunderstanding between people that do not know each other. It can be left just at that I am sure. So please let's focus on the good things like that fact that the kid finished high school.

Ok I was staying out of this for the most part but this has gone enough seriously people.

Michelle does not need anyone to show her the thread since she is very capable of getting to this site and to these boards on her own

I can also see how some would take Natos comment as being a joke/saracastic and some would not. But someone who does not know Nato would not know.

Nimue does not play anymore because of lack of internet. With her being gone and still having friends from this game and not being able to find her old address book this is the easiest place to see if she missed someone.

You know it is like what I got in scribes one time and decided to tell the person off, because well I just get in a mood at times. Yet if someone I knew sent me the same scribe I would have been like yeah whatever get your head out of your ass.

Just because someone does not know who someone is does not make it that they should not be posting here. Hell I look in comments and see names I have never seen before and they are people that have been here a long time.

I was joking with someone I had been in a guild with and knowing him from the guild I said something joking around and he got all bent out of shape and went on a large rant. So I think everyone just needs to settle down and let this thread get back to what it was supposed to be.

That was my point. If she doesn't know NATO for God's sake, and love her or hate her, Nato is a HUGE part of this place, then she is looking in the wrong spot for invitees to what should be a family and friends function. If she has no other way of contacting people outside of a messageboard she never visits, then she can hardly call those people friends of hers much less her daughters. So she invites strangers to a child's graduation, and then she slams someone for cracking a joke. And WE are the bad guys?? REALLY?? If you want to shake a finger and naughty naughty naughty someone, start with your friend.
