Yeah, I remember that - was for a childrens home I think - a really good cause. Puffalumps... that was it. Give away a puffalump and get 1000 turns...

Unfortunately, some people didn't like it, and it caused absolute havoc from what I can remember...

Two different things - lol.

Speed existed in Monarchy (I believe) during the age that the game got hacked and we ended it early. THen we brought it back when Evernight went pay to play - as the 'free' version of canon.

The puffalump for turns thing was an event that Dustin ran. Buy a puffalump and mail it to him or bring it to the bash, get 1,000 turns.

Ah any hope of speed coming back was fun to test things and massive quick heated battles.

Also if it did come back it would be awesome if they used Old School Names such as .

Leto
Barnabas
and
Well cant remember the other one =)

Teroh, please try to stick to concise memories and comments on said memories. This isn't the place for game suggestions. If you want to make requests for game changes, look for an appropriate thread in either the Game Recode forum, or Comments.

And the other deities were Angelique and Oleana. ;)

Alright, some asked me otherwise about the old cartoons, so I dug up some backup cd's, and suffice to say, I'm hosting 'em all off my machine now, I got tons of bandwidth so no worries.

http://zvardin.rh.rit.edu/oldtoons/

Nothing fancy, just browse the directories. A little note: There is a folder titled unfinished in the canon folder which contains 2 cartoons Ben (Revesx/Seven) and I were working on but weren't quite finished. The political cartoon is pretty much done but it needed some sound touch ups, some lines entirely rerecorded even, but it is done, the Seven-Revesx is an exe, it's just a flash file though, anyhow it was nowhere near done, but had a lot of potential from the script and everything I knew Ben planned with it, that one was all him, not me, besides some voices.

Officer Nile were cartoons Ben was behind for a local tv station.

SP Project was the first cartoons we did, and that was for our school, first episode is about 10 minutes long, the other 2 are about 30 minutes each. The last 2 are split up into scenes as well. You can right click on any file and save as to download, .swf files can be opened up in internet explorer and they'll play fine, although the size may be distorted.

Gonna post this in comments as well, since a few people were asking me about them, but I thought the cartoons may be of some interest to this, I suppose. Not sure how many people remember them, it makes me really happy even one person does to ask me about them.

Ok, sorry I haven't gotten anything up yet. Trying to get ready for school and make sure I'm caught up on everything. I should be getting ahold of the volunteers and confirming by Monday evening as well as getting a rough-draft plan together of how I want to tackle this.

Ostro, it's right up your alley.

Good or not, well, that's all perspective...

I don't know if this is quite what you're looking for but, I got bored and did a search on Monarchy, and Braggart's Hall.

There is plenty of old Monarchy material on the Suzerain main web site as well as on some personal web sites and on home computers. I have already volunteered to help SunSu in his project. Unfortunately I did recently junk a lot of old material including most of my old scouting reports.

My posting this isn't to discourage others from looking around on the web...you are more than welcome to do that. I'm just simply letting everyone know that there is some more out there that is not easily available on the web and that SunSu wil have acccss to it.

May Leto grant you peace and inner wisdom,

Yeah, I was going to mention that I had pulled up more on the bung.org site, I just seemed to have forgotten it when I hit submit. *L*

I'd love to have helped a lot more than the simple search results but, I was never one who saved any of the threads, or anything. I really wish I had. I think I always thought Monarchy and BH would be around longer than I'd keep interested in it. Well, around as those names. ;)

Dreams about Monarchy, Dreams about Evernight... *wry grin*

I can't believe I posted in that thread.

If we have random memories, where would be a good place to post them?

Randomness is good. Just like this that I miss AVN from monarchy. If anyone around here was in AVN I'd love to know so I could meet them and maybe get rejoined with them. But I guess.

All I can say is that the old days of Monarchy were great, I enjoyed them more then I think I could enjoy evernight in years. Monrachy just had a kinda of catch to it in my eyes. Maybe I'm odd.

It had a lot to do with the fact we grew to many thousand players at one point. Now we are a couple hundred depending on wether or not a reset is coming soon or not. If we get pissed against a certain poster there arent as many other posters to distract you anymore.

I think also that for a long time there were no rules, and here I'm talking of these unwritten rules we all hold each other to. That changes the dynamic of a place for sure.

Yes that's true, I remember we used to have about 10-20 guilds a faith tons of players and posting was there, it wasn't mandatory and still people posted and became good at it. I liked that idea if I had one idea for the recode I'd say to give that idea a trial for one age to see what people think and to see what the player base does. If it goes up or not.

Like I found it a great idea because it gave options, people love options. I miss those options to be able to post in so many threads, we used to have true posters without having to "force" them to post. They wanted to and so did the rest of us. It was a great time I enjoyed it thoroughly even then I wasn't much of a poster but now it's improved probably frm my lesson's in Braggarts Hall.

*thinks back to the great Braggarts Hall*

Edit By SunSu: I can't believe I had to delete some posts, one even by my co-mod, but the general banter comments were starting to fly. So, if you are posting to remember or comment, good, if you are posting with a question or to answer a question good. However, there will be NO spamming in this forum that does not have regard to the topic of this forum. Those whose posts disappeared know who you are.
