Orry almost laughed in Kristians face when he gave his little speech about the woman she was named after and herself. She wondered how many times he gave that same speech to people and she imagined it had to be pretty tiring repeating himself all the time but the way he acted was the very reason why people always assumed the worst about him. She decided not to laugh at him and when they came from the shadows out into the hallway outside of the room where her brother Rhone was being held she couldn't believe the looks she was getting from her brothers, and some of the other men in the family who were waiting on stand by incase they were needed to reign Rhone in, when Kristian came out of the shadows with her and stood next to her.

He was starting to get pissy even more with the pain of dealing with the pains from what he was injected with. He growled slightly. He knew that he needed more than waht his niece or anyone else could provide. Something that he could drain out and it was not his family. He couldn't do it. When he started feeding he had trouble stopping. It had been so long since he had tasted warm blood in the quatinties that was available to him. He shook his head and pushed the arm away. Eventually he did have to start feeding and when he did it was not enough and he was needing and wanting more. With all that he was needing he tried to break free from her. But something had him to where he was not able to stop. He was that hungry and that underfed. He was trying but he did not stop until she shot him with that damn pen again. He tried to tell them it was not going to be enough. It seemed it was going to be one big go around.

Avery was leaning down and helping her youngest off the floor. Gracie looked a little too pale but Avery knew some sleep, and a nice rare steak once she was awake would have her back to normal in no time.

You know that's pretty damn smart when you really think about it. She stood up and stretched at the same time his phone rang and her brows knit together hearing his end of the conversation. When the shut the phone off she was standing at the door.

He knew that he was going to have to be honest with her about somethings when she got back until she did get back he was going to be working on things anyways. He looked at the emails that he had and looked around the encryptions that he had. He shook his head with a grin he read some of the reports that came through. He was not sure how serious Orry was about some of what she said he thought about her with the guitar and how she was. He would almost like to see her doing that more. That was not his call though and she made it clear there may not be more to anything. At least she was willing to give him a chance instead of just writing him off like some had already done. He pulled out the laptop and started looking through things. He liked the fact that she was so strong willed. He waited patiently for her to get back. He knew he could trust her and knew he could trust to tell her that she was not someone that was going to reveal anything to anyone else. The only question truly was could she keep it from Taltos? He knew that was her partner but this was something bigger than people really knew. The fact of who he worked for was rather tricky because so few even knew about it. He laughed thinking about all the movies about the secret government forces and that kind of thing. The movies at times were not far off base. He smiled and thought about what he could he also knew if he told her everything she could be in danger as well. If she did go back to playing it would be a perfect thing to go all around the world.

Kiara and Losa were down in the cavern below the Manor, even though over the years the decor and style changed they all still called the levels beneath the Hall and the Manor, The Caverns. Soft white light lit the hallways from the sconces' the bulbs rested in, hardwood floors replaced stone, beige walls and dark wood trims were now where rock used to be.
It didn't take much for Kiara to know what was going on with either woman. The way Cons sons were all carrying on, it was very, very clear that Orry after hundreds of years of warnings did the exact opposite of what she was told and Cori and Aidan... hell Cori and Aidan did just what everyone thought might happen one day but never really believed it. She still had no idea just how far the two of them had gone, that they ran off and got married.

She could have snuck out of the house like she did so many times before but that night Enid was not in the mood for cloak and dagger, she was already in a mood, and that mood was undefinable at best. She could be fine one minute, as far as fine went given the situation she was in and the feud that really was never going to end between her parents and Luckys folks, especially after what happened with her father and Luckys mother, then the incident on the lawn didn't help matters any.
