Post subject: Crackhead thieves running amok! Say it aint so...
PostPosted: Sat Sep 28, 2002 11:15 am
Well so far the big excitement in this new enviroment has been......... tada!!!

"My Landgrave? 76585 is missing from the treasury."

"My Landgrave? 92272 is missing from the treasury."

"My Landgrave? 111171 is missing from the treasury."

"My Landgrave? 133941 is missing from the treasury."

I hope this isnt the best Turmoil has to offer. Cause stealing 76,000 gold is just sad. Infact its the same mentality of a person who will have sex for a ten dollar crack hit. But cant be bothered to spend the bus fare to a place where they would have got fifty instead.. *sigh*

I would say, just makes it easier for me to be King. But wheres the glory in ruleing such pityfull subjects.

Hehe....sorry....while most in here are more than willing to run the build to the end first there are still a chosen few that feel the need to try and steal right off the bat....they as usual will be weeded out over the next few days and we can then press on with business as unusual.....that certainly is not the best to offer from the players in here.....

Yes, It is the best Turmoil has to offer. That was no chance encounter with a random newbie, it was a logical indication that you have surpassed everyone here in skill. The actions of one, are obviously a mirrored reflection of many.

It was devine revelation, a prophetic omen, a mystic fortelling that you are destined to be our king. Show mercy on your pitiful future subjects oh quick one, oh guru of online gaming. And when finally prophesy comes to pass, and you are seated on your throne..

Be sure to flush yourself.

You were supposed to wait till after you became king. Now you messed it all up!

Another ancient prophesy goes swirling down the toilet.

Wow! That one was a stubborn one to get down. It took a plunger to break that sucker up just to get it moving.

Well damn.
Having blown the foretellings of the Prophet Mick all to hell. And being as I seem to be stuck, I guess I'll have to wait for that Kingship next age.

In the mean time, can someone flush me a beer while I try to figure out how to get out of this mess I seem to be in...........

Why in the world would you have 18 million lying around at this stage of the game? Tithe it or hire troops. Anything else is a big risk. To most doms at this stage that would be several tithes and a full compliment of troops. The latter they would probably use to rob you with later. I myself keep track of the players that are *banks* in the game, and visit them often.

This shit just keeps getting better and better. Different kingdom and I have news.......

"My Marquis? 57671 is missing from the treasury."

Who ever you are, quit trying to be a scummer. No wait you'd probably be a worse warrior. May as well stick to something you can have a small measure of success in, lmfao

But if you are new, heres a bit of help. 800 acres (it takes only 1 tithe to get there), 160 guildhalls and hovels each, and you would have made the same amount of money just by doing a calming chant. Spend a few more turns building and you would be money ahead.

Quickdraw, have you not heard of early scouting?

And when you are running near your troop cap on 1k acres, it is more turn effecient to loot 57k than downsize, inspire & fluff again.

People do use different methods. Try to think outside the box and imagine why things are being done.

Why, you might just come up with a new method of playing.

Actually DG, Ive had people stop by with 1 hit to see whats up, and I take it for what it is. I didnt bother stating the other 4 hits, by the same person. But taking your advice, I tried to see the gain in stealing from me what amounted to 200k or so. And nope, still dont get it. Not that I give a shit about the cash. Because at that rate I can support the individual easily, and not be slowed in any significant manner.

But if you dont get why Im mocking the individual/s here on the boards, don't bother useing that open mind of yours, just get with me on ICQ. :)

Odd DG, the only kingdom I noted of yours had 0 on the troops and scum. Didn't seem to be near troop cap, must be a peaceful nation.

If you're scouting this early you don't even need to be at your troop cap to get in on the good players.

Why? We have no need to hire enough scum to protect 3K land and our fake leadernames.

That's kinda why I'm scouting.

And not all good players use fake leadernames.

Ah, i remember 2 ages ago. I was just 200 turns out of npp and Urza hit my troopless no money kingdoms down to around 500 acres. My retal left him with 5 dead. He didn't make a second attempt at an attack. Fun times I had here in Turmoil. Carry on people.

Damn these threads are slow... N.B.K, it's not who is smart or not. Some people WANT to be recognized. Less people attack them because of the reputation they earned WITH their leadername. Alot of the top players are easy to find. You just have to think "He knows how to play and his retal is gonna hurt like hell" Anybody can look good after first strike. It's what you look like at the end of the war that counts. Also when you use randoms It's hard to post "I'm at war with **** so leave us alone". No one knows who NOT to hit.

Just my views of course. Everybody plays however they want.

Btw N.B.K., Torkano is one of those well known vets. He can kick some. He just has bad taste in faiths.

Arioch already said it, I just want to add to it. Some people want to be recognized. When I played I used "Mick Fenian" as a leadername in all my kingdoms, because I wanted people to know who they were at war with. That's how reps are made.

Sure it might be smart to use fake leader names, in the same way that it's smart to wear a helmet while you're riding a bike. You just look like an overly cautious puss.
