As the implications of the caves dimensions settled into Taelriath's mind ominously, the trio came into view of the entrance to the innermost sanctum wherin Smargrin doubtlessly lay.

Removing Jaelith from his back and setting her down gently upon the smooth stone underfoot, Taelriath unsheathed his daggers quietly. A gift from a mentor, they were viciously sharp and had not failed him before, but one had to wonder how effective they would be against an ancient dragon's thick scales.

Taelriath pushed those thoughts out of his mind.
I doubt I'd taste good, in any case...

Padding forward, he peered into the dragon's lair...

Eltharion felt a strange sense of dislocation, walking without being able to see himself or the others. However, he knew that a dragon would have more than his eyes to see, so it would be deadly important that Eltharion not grow careless.

Suddenly, a subsonic rumbling filled Eltharion's lungs with tremors. The beast stirs! he hissed, as he crept upon the threshold of the creature's sanctum.

With no sheath to worry about, Eltharion's spear was already deadly accessible. Slowly creeping forward, Eltharion felt a sense that the mission could go successfully.

This feeling lasted approximately as long as it took Eltharion to realize that he could again see his spear, and that it, along with the rest of him, had become visible as he stepped into the cavern.

Shit. Eltharion observed, as the dragon turned to look at him.

He could see the dragon now, it's form dominating the cavern. Taelriath's awe gave him momentary pause. He wasn't sure what he should be trying to do. It was like planning to assault a fortress with a wooden spoon.

At least they were invisible.

Just then movement caught Taelriath's peripheral vision.
It was Eltharion.

Shit...
