Well I am a newbie to the site as well. But thanks to Stonekeep have found my way around pretty well and even have an avatar (THANKS STONIE) and a guild and am happy to make friends and look forward to the experience.

Dang Q makes a thread like this and I in my infinate wonderings around the globe missed it. Why oh why do i miss these things.

Just so you guys know you dont have to have a huge post total *eyes number of posts on the left* to be popular or to be liked persay. I have plenty of contacts around here and people I talk to on a regular basis and I only post when I feel like it. Of cource when I was GMing all the time I sure posted alot more hehehe.

Well, I have been playing Evernight a grand total of three days, yes, I said it. I have been playing three days, and I am wondering why the heck you can do nothing, until your protection is over, but build those lovely buildings.... which gives you money... which maybe i don't know enough, does nothing except pay for expenses... which you don't really see.... hmmm. *ponders* This is certainly a confusing part. I understand, you are trying to gain land ect, make friends and have fun ^_^ perhaps I should find a guild.

Posting "In-Character" on the boards refers to your posts being done from your character's perspective - your "roleplay" persona; when you post "ooc" or out-of-character those posts are coming from you, personally, the person behind the keyboard saying what you yourself think about the given topic at the time.

And here is just another quick tip on names.

If, when you try to use a name it says that name is already in use, please pick an ENTIRELY different name. Less confusion that way.

For example, I am Lady Maven, so clearly you can't use that, but it would be equally disconcerting to me if you chose "Maven" or "Duchess Maven" or any other variant.

Besides the distress it would cause me, frankly, newbie or not, trust me, ya dun want my name, I already wrecked it ;>. You have no idea the reputation you may have associated with you by not being totally original.

well i fear that after reading this here original posting that i shall never end my life as a noob. That being said, i hope i get to attack just about everyone i see hehehehe j/k.
Alot of you sound like you take great pleasure, and thats cool. umm i joined a game without guilds so i guess i botched that one right away but if anyone is willing to lend an ear and a few helpful words that would be appreciated. i run some pretty weird hours never in the same place twice so my logins are when i can get them.
